"The Dr. Tom Method Works"

“Dr. Tom’s 20-week course is the best option on the market, hands down. During my preparation, I was fortunate to have access to two other mainstream services. After a few weeks of using them concurrently, it was apparent that Dr. Tom’s classroom would be the most effective use of my time. His method is clear, consistent, and most of all – it works. Using his course, I was able to pass the PE on the first try. I would highly recommend anyone who is serious about passing the PE exam to use DTC.”

– Aldo Leon II, PE, Entergy Nuclear, New Orleans, Louisiana

“With the shift to CBT, the entire methodology for how to study and what to do on game-day has changed. The DTC method does an incredible job of teaching you what is in the reference handbook, but just as importantly it shows you what is not. The Reference Handbook Companion pages provided for each week were key to effective studying and I credit my performance on the MDM Exam largely to Dr. Tom and his review course.”

– Andy Musselwhite, US Navy. Boston, Massachusetts

“I passed Mechanical TFS exam! This was all thanks to your course and following the Dr. Tom method. I did not graduate with a Mechanical Engineering degree, so some of the topics were new to me, but your lessons were a great way to learn the material necessary for the exam. During the exam, sticking to the plan and solving all of the problems I knew how to do through your course proved to be enough to pass.”

– Taylor K, Pasadena, California

“The way Dr. Tom prepares students for the exam is absolutely priceless. It reminded me very much of my undergraduate classes taught by my favorite professors. The problems are presented in the clearest method possible and definite path presented to solve all problems. When the exam day arrived, I was able to maintain the correct and necessary mindset thanks to all the coaching tips from Dr. Tom. I completely attribute my exam performance to Dr. Tom.”

– Karl Peter Gubert, P.E., Peaker Services, Inc. – Woodward Industrial Channel Partner, Brighton, Michigan

“Armed with the method Dr. Tom taught, I passed on my second try. My problem the first time was nerves and lack of confidence. Prior to the second attempt I mainly practiced your taught method and didn’t work any new types of problems. I was completely calm in the second exam and passed. I attribute the success to calming myself with the discipline and time management learned in your course. The Doctor Tom method works!!  I just needed to apply it and keep a cool head. Your course was the best.”

– A. Hill, PE, Arkansas

“I PASSED THE EXAM!!! I am completely over the moon right now and cannot thank you enough for this amazing course that you put together! I personally wanted to cement all the theory and procedures in my head and the only way to do that for me was through grunt work. After I completed the course I did all the lesson problems again, I retook all the quizzes, the 5 week practice exams and I did the last two final exams twice. I am very pleased and I know this course was the reason why I passed!”

– Christopher Reyes, McAllen, Texas

“Dr. Tom’s methodical approach to preparing for the PE exam helped me to get and stay organized from the very beginning. The practice and challenge problems were an excellent compliment to the lessons. I have no doubt that this class ensured my success on the exam on my first attempt.”

– Nicole DiFidi, P.E., Boise, ID

“After going through Doctor Tom’s Classroom, I felt confident with all of the material. As I went through the exam, I did not panic and trusted the DTC method. I believe the DTC method of taking the exam is the ultimate make or break in passing this exam. I really, sincerely appreciate the help from Dr. Tom and everyone else over at DTC. I really couldn’t have passed this exam without their help.”

– Jesse Parker, Jr., Waldemar S. Nelson & Co., Inc., New Orleans, Louisiana

“From my personal experience, the PE exam is not a measure of your academic or professional intuitiveness. It’s simply a test where a bunch of engineers make up problems based solely on their own experiences. I thank Dr. Tom a lot because somehow he’s been able to decode this myth. My advice is to pay very close attention to every word of his – regardless of what you’ve been taught in college or at work. The goal isn’t to help you with your profession. The goal is to pass the PE test. Dr. Tom will show you those “low hanging fruits” and those “practices he has minimum regards for.” You don’t have to waste your time with all these other Internet tutors claiming to help you pass in 30 days. They’re a waste of time and money. In Dr. Tom’s classroom, you will definitely pass the PE. I can testify to this.”

– Eche, PE, Richmond, VA

“I passed Mechanical TFS exam! This was all thanks to your course and following the Dr. Tom method. I did not graduate with a Mechanical Engineering degree, so some of the topics were new to me, but your lessons were a great way to learn the material necessary for the exam. During the exam, sticking to the plan and solving all of the problems I knew how to do through your course proved to be enough to pass.”

"The Right Focus"

“I purchased Dr. Tom’s review course due to the positive feedback it had received on engineering message boards and the free videos from Dr. Tom’s YouTube channel. I found that Dr. Tom was able to clearly and succinctly teach the material. The level of difficulty in the review course problems were just right, with the right focus on the high-value, high-probability topics. I implemented Dr. Tom’s three-pass method, as well as his DTC approach on exam day, and I passed. Thank you Dr. Tom and the team!”

– Stephen, New York, New York

“The most valuable aspect of the course for me was that Dr. Tom provides a finite range of material to study, so that I did not have to guess about what might be on the exam. That alone was worth the price of the course. It also helped me to have the structure of the course to follow. I am a teacher myself, and I recognize that Dr. Tom is personally invested in the success of his students. He puts a lot of thought and work into providing good instruction. Dr. Tom and staff, thank you so much for all of your help.”

– John Gravitt, PE

“Dr. Tom should be your #1 resource for exam preparation! I had tried just studying from the “big blue book,” and I had looked into other review courses as well. I chose Dr. Tom having seen how he presented material in his sample videos. Once I began the course, I knew I had made the right decision. Dr. Tom will focus your study on what you need to know, he will take the time to explain those elements which are challenging, and he will be there all the way through to exam day. I honestly believe that I could not have passed the exam without Dr. Tom’s teaching, guidance and strategy.”

– Mike R., PE, Atlanta, GA

“The Dr. Tom team has put together a well-structured and comprehensive review system. I passed, first try! I’ve been out of school for over 10 years and it’s been a long time since I’ve even touched the majority of this material. The beauty of the DTC program is that it focuses you on the types of problems that are going to net you the biggest gains, and it paid off. The DTC method was very good, but it took a lot of effort on my part to get prepared. It was well worth it.”

– Shaun, Lehi, Utah

“I passed with an 84%!  I am convinced that without Dr. Tom’s Classroom I would not have done nearly as well and there’s a good chance I would not have passed. I was very impressed with the material Dr. Tom covered and how he focused on what we needed to know for the exam (not the theory). I highly recommend that anybody who is planning to take the PE take Dr. Tom’s Classroom review courses and follow his study outline.”

– Amy C., PE, Houston, Texas

“The most valuable aspect of the course for me was that Dr. Tom provides a finite range of material to study, so that I did not have to guess about what might be on the exam. That alone was worth the price of the course. It also helped me to have the structure of the course to follow. Dr. Tom and staff, thank you so much for all of your help.”

– John Gravitt, PE

“I finally passed the PE exam! I give credit to Dr. Tom and his course. I lacked organization. We all know the vast material to cover, but I needed someone to help me focus on the major exam topics. Dr. Tom did a great job in addressing the key topics. Comparing other PE Exam preparation courses I have taken, Dr. Tom’s course was very organized and concise and focused. Dr. Tom was very committed, and I think he enjoyed it and liked helping us achieve this goal. I would definitely recommend Dr. Tom’s 20-Week Review.”

– South Carolina PE

“The review course clearly guided me through my entire exam preparation and saved me tons of time and energy. Dr. Tom’s instructions complement some of unfamiliar topics in my engineering background. All topics and problems mentioned in the review course are well designed towards passing the actual exam. Thank you all!”

– Shawn Li, PE, Stine Research Center, Newark, Delaware.

“Being eight years removed from school, my biggest concern was the multitude of topics to master. I considered structuring a plan for myself, however, I am forever grateful to Dr. Tom’s Classroom. The structured plan, guidance, and strategy provided by the course allowed me to focus solely on the details and practice problems. The focus on the problem solving approach of the Dr. Tom Method allowed me to ensure I scored the number of points needed.”

 – Aaron Peterson, PE, Waterfront Propulsion Systems, Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Dover, NH

“Dr. Tom’s classroom is ideal for professionals with challenging work-loads. The structured classes that focus only on the information vital to passing the test. That saves you valuable time not studying topics that are unlikely to be included in the test.”

– Nick Viviano, Black & Veatch, Overland Park, KS

"Structured for Success"

“Dr. Tom’s course was essential to my success. I required ‘substantial’ review to say the least, and in attempting to review on my own, I found myself with no clear path for studying. With Dr. Tom’s course, I finally found a solid starting point and could stop spinning my wheels. The course carried me through to the very end allowing me to focus only the relevant and most important PE exam content. Dr Tom’s course content alone is worth the price, but the real value for me came from having a rock solid structure that I know is absolutely tailored for the PE exam.”

– Tommy S. PE, Las Vegas, NV

“Dr. Tom’s Classroom is worth its weight in gold! After completing the 20-Week Course, I felt extremely confident and prepared walking in to the exam. Using the methods taught by DTC, exam questions never felt overwhelming and I had all the tools required to quickly solve them. DTC does a fantastic job breaking down the overwhelming amount of material covered on the exam, into manageable week-long chapters that are easy to fit in with a full time working schedule. I highly recommend DTC.”

– Thomas Gresko, P.E., Valdes Engineering Company, Griffith, Indiana

“I wasn’t pleased with my first review so I went searching for another and found this course. From the beginning I really liked it. I liked the structure, pace, in-depth review and resources provided. This course allowed me an in-depth review of the topics I didn’t master or was rusty on, a strategy that removed my test taking anxiety and most importantly a structure that fit well into my life. I am a very busy person and this course was exactly what I needed.”

– Alexandra Carr, US Army Corps of Engineers, Grand Rivers, Kentucky

“I passed the PE exam and I have DTC to thank for that. This course provided me all the information and skills I needed in order to pass the test. Dr. Tom presents the material in a logical order, so I noticed that I was getting better at understanding topics and solving practice problems as time went on. On exam day, I felt prepared because I was confident in my ability to employ the DTC method as well as being able to quickly find items in the Reference Handbook. The DTC method does indeed work!”

– Nick Bernal, Fontana, California

“I passed the PE exam on the first attempt. I really appreciated this course as it made preparing for the exam much easier. Instead of having to figure out what to study, I just followed the material. The layout of the material and depth of the questions is great. Overall a really great course that covers the material with a thoughtful approach. Thanks!”

– Ben Jordan, Exelon Corporation, Lancaster, Pa

“I spent 35-40 hours per week pouring over the material provided by Dr. Tom. I was pleased with how succinctly the information was presented. The lesson plans helped me stay organized and motivated as I checked off each item. The lesson videos were straight forward and informative. After completing the course, I felt prepared for the exam. Ultimately, the exam was not as difficult as I expected, and I highly recommend this course to anyone preparing to take the PE. Thanks Dr. Tom and team for all your help!”

– Carl Tompson, P.E., ConcealFab Corporation, Colorado Springs, CO”

“I took the PE exam for my first time and passed. I walked out of the exam confident that I had passed. The DTC was virtually my only resource for preparing for the exam. The course kept me on track and provided the structure needed to identify and solve the types of problems that are likely to be on the exam. In addition to teaching the material seen on the exam, the course also prepared me for the format of the exam. The Dr. Tom method works for success on the PE exam!”

– Thomas Ross, Skytrac, Salt Lake City, Utah

“The structure of the course worked well for me. It was nice to focus on the topics in one week “chunks” and to have the decisions already made for me as to what to study, when to work on it and targeted problems already noted. Dr. Tom’s level of commitment was easily displayed by his videos. The extra effort taken to purposely break down the steps, equations and unit conversions was beneficial to me. I would recommend the course to others.”

– Walt Herbert, PE, Baldor Electric Company (A member of the ABB Group), Greenville, SC

“The value in this course is the structure it gives you to organize yourself, get through the important material, ignore the fluff, and have the confidence to know that if you do the work you will pass. A bonus is that, because the course actually provided lessons and explanations, I’m seeing a huge shift in my understanding and abilities at work. I didn’t just pass the test… I learned a ton! Thank you so much for your help!”

– Sarah Dorminy, PE, CH2M Hill, Truckee, CA

“Dr. Tom’s 20-week review course was very helpful at breaking down the mountain of information that is Mechanical Engineering into small bite-sized pieces. I had taken the PE twice before, and my biggest concern was problem identification and time management. I knew that these two strategies are critical to passing, and the other review course I took did not help out much with that. It was apparent early on in Dr. Tom’s course that problem identification was one of the main focuses. I believe this was the main reason I passed.”

– William Allred, PE, LEED AP BD+C, RS&H, Merritt Island, Florida

"Great Teaching & Support"

“I thought the course was excellent. It provided the structure, practice, and review that I needed 25 years after receiving my M.E. degree. I loved Dr. Tom’s teaching – his style & strategy tips made the learning process very enjoyable. The class format and hand-outs were also excellent. I would strongly recommend it to others taking the ME PE exam.”

– Joel Lemke, PE, Emerson, Chanhassen, MN

“Dr. Tom’s 20-Week course helped me learn everything I needed to pass the exam on the first try. He did a better job of explaining the material better than most of my professors. He was always very friendly and easy to understand. Material is not crammed into a 3 or 4 week review like some other PE courses. With the 20-week review, you gradually rebuild and strengthen what you learned in college so you can take on the PE exam with confidence.”

– Michael Noll, PE, Delmar Systems in Houston, TX

“Students can always spot a teacher that cares about their success, and it’s apparent with Dr. Tom. It’s obvious that Dr. Tom has many years of teaching experience, and his lessons are well planned and communicated. There is no magic bullet for passing this exam, but if you’re willing to put in the work, the 20-Week course is invaluable.”

– Michael Kruse, PE, Florida

“I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Tom’s PE review course. I took the Mechanical Thermal Fluids review, and it provided a strong framework so that I never felt bogged down in one topic. Dr. Tom is such a gifted communicator, and he truly made the process enjoyable. Oh yeah…and I passed! If you are on the fence, this is the course to take.”

– Caleb, PE, TX

“The structure and support that I received from Dr. Tom’s Classroom was paramount to my success during the exam. The exam strategies provided by Dr. Tom kept me focused during the exam, allowing me to scoop up as much “low hanging fruit” as I could on my way to passing. The instruction provided by Dr. Tom helped to calm my nerves about the exam as well as build confidence in my ability to pass. I truly appreciate the efforts put forth by Dr. Tom and all others that make this review possible. I was happy to find people who cared about me and my success on the exam.”

– Chris, PE, Toms River, New Jersey

“Dr. Tom helped me not only with the test but also helped me gain the confidence in my own abilities to let go of my apprehension of the test. He will teach you not only how to solve the problem but help you understand the principles and concepts so that you can tackle not just the test but apply your knowledge to any real world application. Dr. Tom is a teacher and a mentor, and if you let him, he can help motivate you to do your part in passing the exam.”

– Avery Darren Lapish, PE, TBE, Palmetto Air & Water Balance, Raleigh, North Carolina

“Dr. Tom’s 20-Week review was immensely helpful towards my success on the PE exam. I realized early on that I would not be able to maintain a studying schedule on my own and am glad I took his course. My other main concern was being able to understand the concepts well enough to be quickly understand what the exam problems were asking. The online lessons were the especially helpful because they explained concepts that can be confusing in other resources (like the MERM) or difficult to review on your own. The lessons are easy to follow, and Dr. Tom’s teaching style gets right to the point. He teaches you what you need to know and what not to waste time on. His dedication is obvious and he makes an effort to answer every question.”

– Angela McNeely, PE, Overland Park, KS

“I have a unique insight to Dr. Tom’s philosophy on exam preparation. I attended NC State University about 20 years ago where Dr. Tom was my instructor in a review class for the FE exam. He was able to sum up four years of education in a succinct way that most people cannot. He got me ready to pass the FE on the first try. Jump forward a couple of decades and discovering that Dr. Tom had taken his class to the land of cables and keyboards, I was very relieved. I knew that if anyone could get me ready again, it would be Dr. Tom.  tarting the class, I immediately knew it was the same old Dr. Tom. No non-sense, make the plan, work the plan kind of guy. If you want a plan that will put you on the track to first time success, Dr. Tom is your man.”

– William Lowery II, PE, UNC Cogeneration Systems, Chapel Hill, North Carolina

“Dr. Tom has done a great job establishing a curriculum focused on passing the exam. His 20-week course provided a thorough review of engineering concepts. Dr. Tom enjoys teaching, and it’s evident through his enthusiasm during each video. It was always refreshing to be greeted with his enthusiasm. I also found the Participant Forum to be a useful tool to post questions and see other students questions and concerns throughout the 20 weeks. All of the questions I posted were answered by Dr. Tom within a day.”

– Chris F, PE – Westinghouse Electric Company – Irmo, SC

I was very impressed with the material Dr. Tom covered, how he focused on what we needed to know for the exam (not the theory), and how open he and his staff were to any questions or problems I had throughout the course. I highly recommend that anybody who is planning to take the PE take Dr. Tom’s Classroom review courses and follow his study outline.

– Amy C., PE, Houston, Texas

"The Best Value"

“The course was worth every penny! Frankly, I enjoyed doing this studying because it was a great opportunity for me to review important mechanical engineering concepts. Thank you for putting together such a comprehensive set of information! I would not have passed without this class.”

– Noah Singer, National Grid, Boston MA

“Your price is very fair, the spread of material and breadth of review was amazing. Dr. Tom’s method prepared me very well for the exam. I LOVE the format and the videos – well-put-together lectures with clear presentation, in depth explanations and clear understanding of the topics taught. The practice problems helped me get comfortable with solving problems and time constraints, and by the end I felt very confident in any problem I came across.”

– Blaine Miller, STV Inc, Douglassville Pennsylvania

“Why choose Dr. Tom over the other courses available? 1. He is clear and easy to understand (my colleagues who took other PE review courses complained that they couldn’t understand their professors). 2. Concise study plan (the goal is to pass the test, not re-learn all of your college courses). 3. Cost (compare it to other courses out there like I did. I think you will be glad you saved several hundred dollars and got a better review course).”

– Evan Tinker, PE, Argus Consulting Inc., Overland Park, KS

“I am 100% confident saying that without your course, I wouldn’t have succeeded with a first-time go. With my work and home life demands, I needed a prep course that told me how, what, and when to study. DTC was perfect in that regard. The practice problems were instrumental in applying the lessons learned each week and understanding what is expected of us during the actual test. I was nervous at first about taking DTC because of all the other more expensive courses, like PPI or School of PE, thinking the more expensive the better, but I was obviously wrong. Keep doing great things for future candidates!”

– CPT Chandler Alford, PE, United States Army, Seattle, WA

“The most valuable aspect of the course for me was that Dr. Tom provides a finite range of material to study, so that I did not have to guess about what might be on the exam. That alone was worth the price of the course. It also helped me to have the structure of the course to follow. I am a teacher myself, and I recognize that Dr. Tom is personally invested in the success of his students. He puts a lot of thought and work into providing good instruction. Dr. Tom and staff, thank you so much for all of your help.”

– John Gravitt, PE

“If you are an ME looking for a PE review course, look no farther. Initially I didn’t think I needed a review course, after all I passed the FE without studying at all and have 2 Masters in Engineering. On my first attempt at the PE exam I devoted hours to studying. I failed. Too much of my self-directed study time was spent studying high challenge low probability material. Dr. Tom provided strategy, guidance and clarity on what to expect on the exam as well as well organized, high quality review material and videos. After his course, I retook the exam and breezed through it. My advice, if you are going to devote so much of your time to studying, spend the money for the review course. If I could go back in time I would spend 10 times the cost of the review course to take it from the start. I have no doubt I would have passed the exam the first time if I had taken Dr. Tom’s review course. Don’t end up kicking yourself for trying to save a few dollars, just take the course. After all, how much is your time worth to you?”

– Brad Townsend, P.E., MAJ USA

“From my experience, the PE exam is not a measure of your professional intuitiveness. It’s simply a test where a bunch of engineers make up problems based solely on their own experiences. So there’s no distinct way to prep or study for it.

“When I took the exam the first time, I was a little naive in my preparation approach, and I had a harsh reality check on exam day. I realized that passing the PE exam was going to take more diligence in studying, practicing problems and being better organized with reference material. After researching Dr. Tom’s website, I knew I needed his help to pass. I went through his 20 Week course, and I can’t even begin to explain how useful his course was in my preparation. Confidence and preparation are huge when going into the exam and Dr. Tom’s course will give you that confidence and preparation.”

– Dan, PE, Farmington, Utah

“Having to learn just about every single Mechanical Engineering concept from scratch, I felt that the course seemed very tailor-made for someone like me. Dr. Tom made sure everything was broken down and simplified for anyone to comprehend. Also very helpful, was the reference handbook companion and not to mention the challenge problems and weekly quizzes. The DTC TFS Course was most definitely well worth it.

– R. Balasubramaniam, Houston, Texas

"Hands On & Flexible"

“Being nearly 20 years out of college, I was VERY intimidated to attempt the PE exam. I can say with absolute certainty that Dr. Tom’s review course was the key to my success. I initially was planning to attend a live class offered by another company. However, sitting through 4 days in a row of 8 hour classes (for three weekends) did NOT appeal to me or fit my learning style. Tackling it at MY pace and on MY schedule (weekday lunch and evenings, weekends), focusing on solving examples, and shoring up trouble areas before progressing to new lessons was the only way I could effectively learn the material. Doing, not merely watching is the key for me. Having the same teacher across all subjects was also a plus, as was the fact that Dr. Tom’s classes are less expensive.”

– Brent V., PE, Houston, Texas

“Out of college for 18 years and getting back into the habit of studying for long hours, relearning subjects, learning techniques to solve problems, and juggling family commitments and work would have been an impossible task until I came across the Dr. Tom’s Classroom course. Other online PE classes were more expensive and for shorter duration of time. The DTC course is well structured, detailed and especially tailored for computer-based testing. I highly recommend DTC’s course.”

– Jinu George, PE, PGDBA, Nassau County Department of Health, New York

“With my work and home life demands, I needed a prep course that told me how, what, and when to study. DTC was perfect in that regard. I am 100% confident saying that without your course, I wouldn’t have succeeded with a first-time go. The practice problems were instrumental in applying the lessons learned each week and understanding what is expected of us during the actual test. Keep doing great things for future candidates!”

– CPT Chandler Alford, PE, United States Army, Seattle, WA

“I’m a father with two young children and a demanding job, I knew that finding a study resource was critical for me. I found the Dr. Tom course, and after watching his exam strategy videos, I felt instantly confident that this was the right program for me. The structure and organization provided by the course, his frank commentary on what or what not to study, and his comforting demeanor in the videos were all critical in my success. I can’t comment on any other study programs out there, but I can say with complete certainty that the Dr. Tom program ensured my ability to pass the exam.”

– Aaron John Tippie, PE, Westwood Professional Services, Inc., San Antonio, Texas

“Thanks to Dr. Tom’s Classroom I was able to successfully pass my Mechanical Systems PE exam. I completed undergrad almost 30 years ago, and Dr. Tom’s provided me with the refresher and confidence needed to complete the exam. The lessons are well thought out, and I was able to complete them in the allotted time. The continued problem solving and practice gave me the confidence needed!”

– Joseph Pellettiere, Orlando, Florida

“Having to learn just about every single Mechanical Engineering concept from scratch, I felt that the course seemed very tailor-made for someone like me. Dr. Tom made sure everything was broken down and simplified for anyone to comprehend. Also very helpful, was the reference handbook companion and not to mention the challenge problems and weekly quizzes. The DTC TFS Course was most definitely well worth it.

– R. Balasubramaniam, Houston, Texas

The DTC method was very good, and it took a lot of effort on my part to get prepared. It was well worth it.”

– Shaun, Lehi, Utah

“Dr. Tom’s class helped me immensely. I was worried how I would fare with academia I had neglected for the better part of 10 years or how I would manage the necessary study time with all my other obligations. Through use of Dr. Tom’s syllabus, I was able to focus my studies to those subjects necessary for success versus blindly studying the MERM page by page. I would recommend Dr. Tom’s Classroom to anyone interested in successfully navigating through PE examination preparation. ”

– R. Neal Grainger P.E., NC State ’02, BSCHE, Wilmington, NC

“6 months of study and it PAID OFF! Nearly everything in the Dr. Tom course was new to me because I had forgotten so much. If this sounds like you, then have courage, you can pass the PE too! I followed the course, watched the lectures, worked the problems, did the quizzes, submitted questions on the online forums and then I passed the test.”

– Evan Tinker, PE, Argus Consulting Inc., Overland Park, KS

“Dr. Tom’s review program may not be the only reason I passed the PE-Mechanical exam, but it was instrumental. I am the kind of person that requires a plan. Dr. Tom’s plan is extensive, intensive, and organized. His online lectures are perfect for the professional that must do his/her best to put the hours in during their “free time.”  If you invest the time, you will be fine. The cost of the program is well worth it. Thanks, Dr. Tom and team!”

– M. Motes, PE, Blythewood, SC

"Proven Strategies"

“If you have been out of school for so long, with Dr. Tom’s review course you can’t go wrong. I’ve been out of school for 24 years, and I got a pass in the PE Mechanical Thermal & Fluids System exam!!!!! I worked hard for almost year in the course to get up to speed and it finally paid off…It is very important that you follow Dr.Tom’s recipe so you can be successful on the exam. I’m a happier person today, thanks to Dr. Tom and his team, this was a lifetime goal I have just achieved.”

– Jose A Rodriguez, PE, Johnson and Johnson, Raynham, Massachusetts

“With the shift to CBT, the entire methodology for how to study and what to do on game-day has changed. The DTC method does an incredible job of teaching you what is in the reference handbook, but just as importantly it shows you what is not. The Reference Handbook Companion pages provided for each week were key to effective studying and I credit my performance on the MDM Exam largely to Dr. Tom and his review course.”

– Andy Musselwhite, US Navy. Boston, Massachusetts

“If a retired US Navy test pilot who has not looked at undergraduate engineering for over 30 years can pass using this course, then this is positive proof that the DTC method is effective. I followed the course to the letter, and I am now a believer in the DTC method.  My advice: trust in the review and the Dr. Tom process for test taking. By the way, prior to taking this course, I had signed up and paid for one of the other courses and found it more of a MERM addendum rather than a path to passing.”

– Steve, PE

“Dr. Tom’s 20-week course is the reason that I passed the PE. If I had chosen to study on my own, there would be no chance I’d pass. There are so many strong points to this course I cannot name them all, but I will list my favorites. The week-to-week structure of the course kept me on track, so I did not run out of time days before the exam. Dr. Tom’s constant reminders for ‘units, units, units’ are invaluable. Before the course started, my unit conversions were almost nowhere to be seen. Now I live and breathe units. On the participant forum, his quick and clear responses to my questions helped me at times I was stuck. Getting stuck during studying is ok, but not on the exam. Dr Tom’s advice to ‘never get stuck’ allowed me to keep my pacing with the 8 hours of time allotted. I would absolutely recommend this course to anyone choosing the same.”

“Dr Tom’s was an invaluable program. I’ve been out of school for over 20 years and needed to re-learn a lot of the material. His teaching style took very complex concepts and laid the material out in a straight forward fashion with a systematic approach to solve the problems. His methodology gave me structure for studying that I would not have been able to achieve on my own. Thank you Dr Tom for putting a great program together.”

“I passed! The DTC prep course did a great job of preparing me for the exam. The strategy it provided of making three passes was very important. I have been recommending the course to colleagues and to my students (I teach at a local University).”

Dr. David Raymond, California State University, Los Angeles

“I would recommend this course to any mechanical engineer who is serious about giving themselves the best chance possible to pass the P.E. exam. I’ve never been a great test taker and knew that the P.E. was going to be no different. Many of the prep course options seemed a little impersonal to me. I was pretty much sold on Dr. Tom after I saw his videos on exam strategy. Dr. Tom’s course course requires a lot of time and work, but he was there with us every step of the way. By the time exam day came around, I was very prepared and I knew I had a strong foundation to face what was coming. I took the exam using Dr. Tom’s strategy and was able to finish with enough time to check my work, and I passed!”

– Brian, PE, Taylor Machine Works, Starkville, Mississippi

“Dr. Tom’s 20-Week Review helped immensely. I had taken a different review course previously, but didn’t pass. I was unsure if another review course would help. I liked Dr. Tom’s course because he provided test taking tips specific to the P.E. exam. This was key for me. Dr. Tom is very committed and genuinely interested in helping you pass.”

– John Kilgore, PE, Mantech, Huntsville, AL

“My Dr. Tom review course was ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING. I learned there was definitely a methodology for taking the PE exam, and Dr. Tom and his team know exactly what it is. A person may know engineering well, but unless properly prepared on what to expect on the exam, how to use time wisely, or exam strategy, their chances of success without a Dr. Tom’s course will be much less. The numerous tips and suggestions were invaluable, and I would not have passed the exam without it.”

– Lawrence J. DiPietro, Lawrence DiPietro LLC, Wakefield, MA

“I successfully passed the exam on my second attempt. I went in much more confident and I can thank your class for that. Even if you are the most well-versed engineer in the world, if you don’t have a method in place to quickly find the equation or topic that you are looking for, it can make for a really tough test day. I will definitely recommend your class to peers who are considering taking the PE in the future. Thanks for everything!”
