I recently read an Artst article titled “The 10 Most Famous Arch Bridges.” Though I am not a civil engineer, bridges are one of my favorite structures, and I was totally sucked in. Almost all of these “10” bridges were not familiar to me. I thought the Golden Gate bridge would be on the list, however I realized this was a list of “arch” bridges and the Golden Gate is a “suspension” bridge.
On the Artst website, I discovered that it contains a great number of articles titled “The 10 Most Famous . . ..” They have a major category called “Artworks”, one called “Architecture” (which is where I found this article), and a Blog with an extensive number of similar type articles. This is one of those websites that you can easily become absorbed and get nothing done for the rest of the day or maybe even a week. The only question is where to start. –Dr. Tom
